Rainuskot - A hidden beauty
Rainuskot, also known as Raginus or Rainus, is located in eastern part of Lamjung – a hill area and probably undiscovered short trekking destination from Kathmandu. It’s natural beauty is known only by few people. It is at 1600 meter above sea level. Rainus is a historical place and has history that dates back to the origin of Shah Dynasty, that once ruled Nepal. It not only has historical values, it is equally rich in natural beauty. The national flower of Nepal, ‘Rhododendron’ along with pure natural greenery and refreshing scenery are also found here.
It is around 200 km from Kathmandu. One can go to short trek, from Kathmandu that takes one day, and if you take the tent along with you, then you can have a night stay with the hidden beauty of Rainuskot.
