An example of irresponsibility.

By: wnnteam

Players ready in the ringAt 9 am this morning, we rushed to Dasharath Stadium, where WTF Taekwondo SAF Selection for 2010 was going to be held. The game was meant to start at 9am. We were eager to see the selection process. When we reached the stadium we came to know that the game was postponded to 10am. But there was no sign of selection process till 11 am.

At 12 am, we entered the hall. There were players in the hall ready to give their best performances and get selected. They lined up in the ring and bowed their guru (second in command chief), cheered up and got in their dressing room. Some were already in their game dress. They were all ready for their big day.

We were exicited too on the game that was about to start. We waited for about 20 mins and after 10 more minutes we heard that the game will start at 3pm. We couldn’t help asking ourselves – ‘Are we really on WTF Taekwondo SAF Selection for 2010?’.

At 3, when everyone was ready, we again heard that the selection process was postponed for 3rd Mangsir.

Seriously, this was more than enough. It was a SAF 2010 selection, but we could not see any sense of responsiblity from the selectors. Aren’t they responsible to carry out the selection process on the given time?

While we were leaving the stadium, we heard the rumour that the main guru without whom the selection process couldn’t be started was at the stadium at 9am. When he reached the ring he didn’t find the whole things ready and got disgusted leaving the hall.

Whatever may be the reasons, but if the gossip is true, he kept us waiting for about 6hrs and later, the selection process was postponed for 3rd mangsir.
